Privacy Policy

Personal Finance Simulator (“the app”) is developed by Pros Apps (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version: the app collects nothing. Everything you enter stays on your device.

1. Information we collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever.

The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier. We operate no server that receives data from the app.

2. Information you enter, and where it goes

To produce a projection, the app asks you for figures such as age, salary, budget, account balances and retirement age. You may also enter names for yourself, a spouse and children.

This information is stored only in the app's private storage area on your own device. It is never transmitted anywhere. It is not sent to us, to any analytics service, to any advertising network, or to any other third party. The app makes no network requests of any kind and functions with your device offline.

Because the data never leaves your device, we have no access to it and cannot retrieve, view, restore or delete it on your behalf.

3. Analytics, advertising and tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service, and no tracking technologies. It does not use the Android Advertising ID. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you.

4. Permissions and notifications

The app requests one permission: notifications. It is used for a single purpose — an optional reminder, roughly every three months, to look at your plan again when you have not changed it in a while.

These reminders are scheduled by your device and delivered by your device. Their timing is calculated on your phone from the date you last edited your plan. No reminder is sent from a server, no push service is involved, and none of your figures are included in the reminder or transmitted as a result of it. If you decline the permission, the app works exactly as before, without the reminder. You can revoke it at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Personal Finance Simulator → Notifications.

The app requests no other permission. It does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or call history.

5. Deleting your data

You can remove everything the app has stored at any time:

Either action is immediate and permanent. As we hold no copy, nothing remains anywhere afterwards.

6. Device backups

If you have enabled Android's automatic backup on your device, the operating system may include the app's stored data in your Google account backup. This is a function of Android and your Google account settings, not of the app, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can disable it in Android Settings → System → Backup.

7. Children

The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because we do not collect information at all.

8. Not financial advice

The app is an educational projection tool. It shows the possible direction and shape of a financial plan based on the figures you supply and publicly documented Canadian federal and Quebec tax rules. Its output is not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and is not a guarantee of any outcome. For tax filing or major financial decisions, consult a qualified financial planner or a Quebec tax professional.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and publish the revised version at this address. Material changes — in particular any change that would introduce data collection — will also be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.
